Miya Tanner is a photographer based between Florida and Austin, Texas, whose work centers on action-driven sports imagery. She works across Division I athletics and professional sports, capturing both high-intensity moments and the often overlooked details that shape a game’s rhythm and atmosphere. Her practice balances fast-turnaround production for athletic departments, teams, and athletes with experimental approaches that challenge conventional sports photography.
Tanner (b. 2004, Melbourne, Florida) is pursuing a BA in Studio Art with a minor in Sports Media at The University of Texas at Austin (expected 2027). Since 2024, she has served as a Creative Intern with Texas Athletics, producing content ranging from live game coverage and media days to recruiting and promotional shoots. She has traveled with the Texas Women’s Basketball team during the 2026 and 2025 seasons, including two SEC Championships and two NCAA Final Fours. She has covered Texas Football home and away games, the College Football Playoff first round, and the 2025 Citrus Bowl.
Outside of Texas Athletics, she works as a freelance photographer for Austin FC, has covered the Austin Professional Tennis Open since 2024, and previously served as a summer creative intern for the University of Central Florida’s Athletic Department.
She has recently accepted the Photo Intern position with the 2026 NFL Summer Internship in Inglewood, CA.
